John and Karen McCutchen II

In 2014, John and Karen McCutchen II, OSMML, OStJ purchased long-time Houston Electrician, On Time Electric. Mr. McCutchen began his 39-year construction career at Fisk Electric as Deputy Project Manager of the 75-story I.M. Pei designed Texas Commerce Bank Building (now Chase Tower) in Houston’s CBD. Working his way through each discipline (project management, estimating and service) Mr. McCutchen’s skills were rewarded when he was elected to the Boar of Directors in 1984, the youngest member in the firms 75-year history.

Fisk sold out to a publicly traded UK contractor in 1984 prompting Mr. McCutchen to organize and form MH Technologies along the philosophy as his previous employer’s very successful business model. To that end, MH Technologies became a major electrical contracting force in Texas growing to over $20 mm in revenues in less than 10 years completing such landmark projects as the Houston Texans’ Reliant Center [now NRG Stadium] to name just one.

MH Technologies was sold to a public roll up in 2000. In the intervening years before moving back to Houston and purchasing On Time Electric, Mr. McCutchen became a stockholder and an officer serving as Vice President Business Development for a $2 billion+ private national domestic general contractor located in Dallas.

Karen (Garrett) McCutchen is a world-class sculptor who earned a masters in sculpting from the University of Houston’s famed Lawndale School under the tutelage of sculptor James Surls. Mrs McCutchen was a long-time professor at the Art Institutes and continues her prolific career in public art at her Godstone Ranch studio. She continues to teach art classes to students at St. Martin’s Episcopal church as a way of giving back.

The McCutchens have been and continue to be highly involved in community service both here in Texas with the Texas Heart Institute,  Houston Methodist Hospital Foundation, American Heart Association and internationally through the the Venerable Order of St. John, Savoy Orders of  Saints Maurice and Lazarus and their public 501 (c) (iii) charity, Godstone Ranch Motorsports raising awareness and money for the life saving technique, Hands-Only CPR.

They have two grown children.
